In 1997 we drew up the document for OURA before its demolition. We have not made the record only for the building survey but also for the memory, because so many people have loved it. During the survey, we had felt their deep attachment both for OURA and its surroundings.
The necessity of new university museum and the infirmity of the old building were the chief factors in its demolition. As a result, the scenes that had been very popular among Geidai* students for a long time vanished away forever.
OURA might neither have any historical value nor show unique design, but we convinced that the feeling "Dear OURA" deserves the conservation of the building.
