Accommodations

In the middle of July, the summer vacation season starts in Japan, and it seems better to reserve an accommodation for the “Hall-Petch Symposium” earlier.

We list here the guest rooms in Sanjo Conf. Hall, and four hotels near the venue.

(1)  Guest rooms in Sanjo Conf. Hall

The organizing committee reserved one twin-room (9,800JPY/night) and six single rooms (4,800JPY/night) for four nights from July 15 to July 19.  The room rates are reasonable, but a problem is that the restaurant in Sanjo Conf. Hall opens at 9.30, and so, to take breakfast earlier, you have to walk a few minutes to a student restaurant in the Hongo campus of The University of Tokyo.  If you prefer to stay in one of the guest rooms, please write your wish to the secretariat (sfgm2013@gmail.com), so that we can reserve the room for you.

 

(2) We list four hotels, H1, H2, H3 and H4, near the Hongo Campus located within walking distance from the venue, Sanjo Conf. Hall.  The locations of the hotels are given on the map, where the hatched areas are the Hongo Campus of The University of Tokyo.

We tried to reserve a group of rooms of hotels at a discount rate, but it was impossible because of the busy season.  The room rate for single room per night is 10,000JPY or slightly less without breakfast.  The room rates are generally higher in the following order: H4>H1>H2>H3.
