Impressions
In Ryugashido Cavern, you can see the mysterious shapes of rocks created by water over a long period of time, and the spectacular scenery created by flowing water and exquisite light. Furthermore, the faint sound of water in the silence was very pleasant and soothing, and at the same time, it made me realize that people are part of nature. I would like to use this attractive waterside as teaching material for elementary schools. (S.N)

This was the first time I saw a live eel being prepared for eating. It was very powerful and made me reaffirm my gratitude for food. I was also overwhelmed by the number of years it took for Ryugashido Cavern to reach its present form, and by the time I left the cavern, I felt very peaceful. For me, the attraction of the waterside is that it provides a sense of healing and allows me to forget my daily life and have a peaceful time. (R.F)

The topography of the cavern was created over many years, far beyond our human imagination. The scenery was so fantastic that I felt like I had arrived in another world, and I was speechless at how wonderful it was. Water takes a tremendous amount of time to transform natural forms and provide benefits to living things. Through the experience of the tour, I strongly felt the importance of protecting water resources. (M.M)

At the watersides of Ryugashido Cavern and Lake Hamana, conversations with the other participants came up naturally. We talked about the surprises and insights into nature that lay before us, and sometimes we even laughed. The waterside has a mysterious power to deepen bonds with friends. In the future, I would like to organize a tour with local elementary and junior high school students to walk along the waterside and deepen mutual understanding of the region. (S.G)

Water is indispensable for life. It is so much bigger and more extensive than I was thinking, and I think it is a big part of what supports everything in this world. People live by eating food grown in the water, and are happy with the spectacular scenery created by the ocean. In this way, I felt the beauty and strength of water, which just quietly supports us.
