We will experience two fishing household homestays in Odawara City and Miura City. The highlights of the tour will be fishing from a boat, cooking fish, and talking with fishermen. This three-day, two-night tour will make you like the ocean, and includes a fishing port, an aquarium, a bonito flake museum, and a kamaboko fish cake tour. How about going on a new kind of ocean travel?
Experience seaside life in its entirety!
Recommended for a new kind of "fishing household homestay"!
This three-day, two-night tour will take you to Odawara City and Miura City in Kanagawa Prefecture, where you can experience the connection between local resources and people. You will stay at a fishing household and experience fishing from a boat and cooking fish. We will try our hand at preparing fresh fish for sashimi, dried horse mackerel, and salted squid. In the evenings, you can have the kind of interaction with fishermen that only a homestay can provide, and experience the life of the people living by the sea. In addition, the tour is packed with the attractions of the sea, including a visit to the Odawara fishing port, a kamaboko fish cake tour, a bonito flake museum, and Keikyu Aburatsubo Marine Park.

Impressions
I've always loved the ocean and wanted to know how to enjoy it beyond just looking at it and swimming in it, so I couldn't have asked for a more appealing experience than a fishing household homestay. At the end of the three-day, two-night tour, we got together at the home of one of the participants and cooked the fish we had caught for dinner. The process of figuring out how to prepare the fish and discussing the best way to cook it was a lot of fun, and I was very happy that the learning experience at the fishing household could continue and was not superficial. Through this series of experiences, I became more attached to fish and and curious about them, and I could feel closer to the sea than ever before. In addition, in the process of sharing various tasks with others, we came to support each other's learning and enjoyment, and I felt that this was more effective than simply sightseeing by walking around looking at the same things. The term "fishing household homestay" is still not very familiar, but I am confident that it will spread because it is such a fascinating experience. I'd like to continue to go on fishing household homestays with with other kinds of people, encounter more fish and more fishermen, and continue to have a close relationship with the ocean and waterside.
